             abstract = "This study aimed to analyze qualitatively and quantitatively the
                         spatial-temporal of rainfall and their trends over an area (grid
                         of 2.5 ° lat. X 2.5 ° lon. between 5.5 ° to 8 ° S and 53 S ° W to
                         50.5 ° W) with a combination of forested and deforested areas is
                         well over the past 10 years, according to estimates by PRODES
                         Digital of the INPE. This area is located over the S{\~a}o
                         F{\'e}lix do Xing{\'u} city, the eastern Amazon (Par{\'a}
                         state). In order to identify the distinct characteristics of these
                         areas (forest and pasture) in view of the topography, based on
                         data from SRTM, was selected two spots (pixels of 0.25 ° x 0.25 °)
                         on a forest area and the other on a deforested area. With this, we
                         used the estimates of accumulated daily precipitation (3B42_V6
                         algorithm) of the TRMM satellite during the period from January
                         1998 to December 2009 and, with respect to deforestation data, the
                         annual estimates were used PRODES Digital Project during the
                         period from 2000 until 2008. In general, it was noted that
                         deforestation appears to exert a certain influence on the behavior
                         of precipitation, such as number of days without rain (Forest>
                         deforestation); the daily, frequencies, intensities (deforestation
                         > Forest), monthly, annual accumulated and their trends.",
